Challenger Lodge
Located in an old mansion house at Boswall Road, Granton, Challenger Lodge provided care for the children of Scottish ex-servicemen.
In 1929 it was acquired by the Edinburgh Cripple and Invalid Children’s Aid Society and provided care and accommodation for children with disabilities. The home closed in 1977 and subsequently became a hospice for terminally ill patients.
