29 Abercromby Place
The first meeting of the National Vigilance Association (Eastern Division) was held here, in ‘Miss Nairn’s Library’1, on 9 November, 1911 with Dr Elsie Inglis in attendance. Abercromby Place was constructed as part of the New Town development in early 1800, and in 1926, no.29 was purchased by the Royal Scots’ Club and incorporated into no.30 and 31, today standing as one joint building.
