Miss N I C Johnson
Superintendent of The Edinburgh Home for Mothers and Infants, 17 Claremont Park from when it opened in 1926 until 1937 when she was succeeded by Miss E W Brown.
“Miss Johnson has supervised and guided the affairs of the Home since its beginnings and under her care it has grown and developed until today its work is recognised and valued far beyond the borders of Edinburgh. After these years of unsparing thought and hard work for which everyone is connected with the Home is intensely grateful to her, we cannot grudge her a well-earned rest, even while we regret her absence.”
Committee Member of the Scottish Council for the Unmarried Mother and Her Child.1
